Hypomastia, or breast hypoplasia, is a condition where the breasts do not develop properly. Hypomastia can cause physical and emotional distress, as well as issues with finding clothing that fits properly.
The most common cause of hypomastia is a simple genetic predisposition. In these cases, the breasts simply do not develop properly due to the individual’s genes.
Certain medical conditions can also cause breast hypomastia. These include Poland’s syndrome, a birth defect that results in the underdevelopment of the breasts.
Changes in the body after major weight loss and pregnancy can also cause breast hypomastia. In both of these cases, the breasts may appear to shrink and become saggy.
A mastectomy, or the removal of breast tissue to treat breast cancer, can also cause breast hypomastia.
Breast augmentation surgery is the most common treatment for hypomastia.
The desire for a better body is universal. Breast augmentation surgery, also known as “boob job” or “breast enlargement surgery”, “breast enlargement surgery,” “augmentation mammoplasty,” is a process that helps women achieve the body they want. Whether it’s through fat grafting or breast implants, this procedure can give them larger breasts to make their frame more proportionate and beautiful!
Depending on the situation, breast augmentation or breast enlargement can be achieved through two distinct methods:
Breast augmentation with breast implants: Saline or silicone implants are inserted beneath the breast tissue or chest muscles in this technique.
Breast augmentation with fat grafting: This method involves removing fat from the patient’s body with liposuction and injecting it into the breasts.
Breast augmentation is recommended for women who have small, underdeveloped, or asymmetric breasts or breasts that have decreased in size after childbirth. Women who have lost breast volume as a result of aging or major weight loss can also opt for breast augmentation. It’s also a good option for women who feel they need bigger breasts to balance out their figures.
Breast augmentation may be performed on any woman who is an adult and has fully developed breasts.
Breast augmentation is a personal decision. It should be done to satisfy one’s desire for greater breast size, not to meet the demands of others.
If a woman has lost one or both breasts after a mastectomy, she can opt for Breast Reconstruction surgery to restore her breasts.

Book AppointmentDuring a breast augmentation or breast enlargement surgery consultation, Dr. Arun Jeedi , at Recon Plastic Surgery Centre, Hubli, will inspect the patient’s breasts, discuss their intended size and expectations, and advise the patient on which breast augmentation procedure is best for them.He will consider all of these factors while advising the patient on which breast augmentation technique is most suitable.
Dr. Arun Jeedi will go through the process in detail with the patient, including the make and size of breast implants or where fat should be removed from.
At Recon Plastic Surgery Centre, Hubli, our first concern is the patient’s safety and satisfaction, so Dr. Arun Jeedi will examine each element of the treatment and offer the greatest possible results.
The surgeon will first discuss with the patient where the implants need to be placed.
There are generally three places where the incision may be made: The crease of the breast, under the arm, or around the nipple.
During the surgery, general anesthesia will be administered.
Once the patient is asleep, the surgeon will make an incision and place the implant in the desired location.
Once the placement is complete, the surgeon will close the incision with stitches.
Breast augmentation surgery with breast implants tends to take around an hour to be fully completed. However, this time may vary depending on individual cases.
Fat transfer breast augmentation is performed in the following manner:
The first step is the administration of local or general anesthesia.
After that, the surgeon will utilize liposuction to remove fat from regions with excessive body fat, such as the stomach, hips, and thighs.
The fat will be processed, and undesirable components like oil, water, and blood will be removed.
The fat will then be injected into the breasts using tiny cannulas.
After multiple injections, you’ll be left with perfect, natural-looking results.
The patient will be able to return home the same day and may experience some swelling, soreness, or bruising. After a few days, both should disappear with no long-term effects. The stitches will be dissolvable sutures so there’s no need to remove them unless they become infected or inflamed. Patients are often prescribed painkillers for comfort during this time if required as well as antibiotics which help prevent infection from occurring after surgery.
In addition, those who have undergone breast augmentation typically need 4 - 6 weeks of wearing sports bras followed by compression garments if fat grafting was performed.
The patient should not resume strenuous activity for at least 2-3 weeks after surgery. To help ensure that there are no blood clots, they will be asked to walk or perform low-impact exercises every day!
Usually, after breast augmentation or breast enlargement, there will be no issues regarding pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Dr. Arun Jeedi will determine the final cost of the surgery at the OPD consultation after examining the unique case of the patient, understanding the patient’s objectives and wishes, and discussing the advantages and drawbacks of breast augmentation surgery.
